      Our upcoming events

We've been across the world (the US to the UK to Malaysia) in September and have appreciated meeting with our networks and peers across industries. But the data exploration isn't over yet:

      • We are honored to contribute our data to the UN Datathon 2024, happening in Medellín, Colombia, this November—registration is open until October 11th! Our Head of Insights, Veronika Vilgis, will be there to guide the utilization of our structured web data for insights into urban services and sustainable tourism.
      • Sales exec Mathijs Baas will be in New York on October 9th, speaking at Eagle Alpha's UNBOUND alternative data conference on structured web data and tracking web tech.
      • Sales exec Jorn Wierda is hopping from Malaysia (where he gave a fantastic workshop for their NSO) to Singapore on October 9-10, attending Tech Week Singapore and exploring the world(s) of data tech.

      Data Update: Tech Detection

      Global additions to our Recipes

Are you curious about what's happening in stock markets and companies beyond North America? Our tech detection team has been working tirelessly to enhance the performance tracking of tech companies across the world. Until recently, we were tracking the digital services and tools of 116 publicly traded companies, primarily listed on the NASDAQ and NYSE, through our Recipes. This expansion means we have new Recipes for an additional 40 companies, publicly traded on exchanges from Scandinavia and continental Europe to South East Asia and Oceania. Explore new details in the Dataprovider.com console: search for a company or stock exchange by simply entering its abbreviation in the search bar.

Is there a company out there you'd love to see in our data? Reply to this email or reach out at info@dataprovider.com, and let's see what we can do.

The nice niche side of the internet

Last month we spent our time on the nice side of the internet, but this month we've gone niche! Take a peek at these oddly specific, one-topic websites below, and who knows—maybe you'll find a new niche to enjoy?

      • 24Trains.tv — ranging anywhere from special interest to casual interest to only interest, trains have a presence in almost everyone's life. Find more history, information, and footage about trains than you ever thought you needed (for a small price).
      •  BBC's Digital Archive of Sounds — the internet is an actual treasure trove of archival history: not just for photographs and documents, but sound effects too! BBC Rewind catalogs and publishes everything from Oxford's college bells and waterfalls, to “submarine klaxon or the sound of a 1969 Ford Cortina door slamming shut.”
      • Medieval Murder Map — it's in the title, really. Twelve people's niche interest in Middle Ages crime developed into this deeply intriguing and informative mapping of historical murders in the UK.
